A dust takeoff spigot allows for connection to an existing dust collection system (of suitable duty) to draw the dust away from the operator. This allows for a clean, healthy work environment complying with the government regulations and agencies such as OSHA and the EPA. As an option, an integral dust collector can be mounted onto the bag dump.
For achieving faster throughputs, a twin dump design (with two access doors) allows more than one operator to tip.
The integral dust collector and bag rest platform provide a clean, healthy work environment that complies with government regulations and agencies such as OSHA and the EPA. Over 750cfm of air passing the tipping bag or pales keeps the operator from exposure to dust. The hopper design is engineered depending on the product and can include flow control devices like agitators, vibrators and air pads. The easy clean design with quick removable safety mesh and gas stay door support are just some of the many features. Many other optional features such as pneumatic bag lifters even further reduce the operator’s functions.
DUST COLLECTOR MODEL
By fitting a dust collector on to the standard bag dump, full recovery of material can be achieved while protecting the operator from dust exposure.
Lightweight, wide pleated filter cartridges arrest the dust generated during the dumping of product. Alternating pulses of compressed air automatically clean the filter cartridges, dropping the arrested product back into the bag dump hopper, while clean air passes through the filter cartridges to atmosphere.
A quick release design typically allows change over or removal of the filter cartridges in less than 2 minutes. By simply removing a bar grating and airflow baffle, the filter cartridges are exposed and can be quickly removed by releasing the hand nuts at their base.
The wide pleat filter cartridges are available in PTFE felt, polyester, Gore-Tex Teflon, hydrophobic and oleophobic membrane. Filtration efficiencies as high as 99.97% retention on 0.3 microns are possible.

AUTOMATIC BAG SLITTERS
Fully automatic bag slitters are ideal for slitting, empting and compacting bags of various sizes and products ranging from powders to granules at a rate of between 100 to 600 bags per hour. The operator loads the infeed conveyor with bags which travel up into the sealed cutting zone passing between two rotating knives.
The bags are then opened with the product discharging into the sifting zone while the empty bags fall into the bag compactor. The top mounted integral dust collector maintains a negative pressure containing all dust within the automatic bag slitter and returns all arrested dust back into the main product stream making them ideal for handling difficult or hazardous materials.
